There’s one thing I believe that is a key in all relationships and that is communication. My experience working with professional photographers is limited and leading up to our session it was effortless to let John know what I wanted to achieve out of this shoot. With that, I wanted to share my photo shoot experience with IAMJOHNYOO.
I was ecstatic to discover I was the winner of a contest Samatha held during the holidays to have a photo session with John.
We met for the first time on the day of the photoshoot at the local coffee shop. However, I have been following John on social media for some time. He looks just like his photos! The conversation naturally came as John has a great personality and relaxed vibe about him.
I honestly got a sense of how passionate John is about his work because we saw a group of three girls across the street when sitting at the coffee shop looking out the window and they all waved beaming smiles. The second encounter was at a crosswalk where we exchanged introductions, and I learned that the girls were from a wedding John had shot last year.
The shoot was about an hour, and it felt like I was just hanging out with a friend while they took photos of me. My dream come true. The direction I received from John was easy to understand, and he even demonstrated for me first. So I learned a few modeling tips and tricks!
Silly me, I had forgotten my eyelash glue, and during the shoot, it was always slipping off. Luckily it stayed on for the photos. So, remember to bring eyelash glue ladies!
In short my photo shoot experience with John was awesome!
