The dream is to one day visit Japan when the cherry blossoms are in bloom. However, Vancouver is impressive too! I follow many photographers on Instagram, one of them being Nhi from Noyo Creative. After admiring his work for some time, I reached out to Nhi letting him know my thoughts on taking a few photos, and he suggested the perfect time and location for maximum cherry blossom exposure.
With that, I wanted to share my experience. Five golden stars! Vancouver weather is unpredictable in a predictable way. It was going to rain. However, Nhi was committed to making sure we were comfortable during the photo shoot, and I had a great time. Some fun facts about Nhi, before his photography career he was an academic. Tired of spending his days in a research lab he picked up his camera and moved to New York to live out his photography dreams and now permanently resides in British Columbia.
Aside from the cherry blossoms, there is no particular occasion. My significant other and I are not getting engaged, hopefully, one day. I feel like I am receiving a sneak peek of what is to come! That is hopeful, girlfriend talk. No pressure darling if you are reading this. If you are considering a location for special moments, Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver is beautiful. It’s because Nhi was so good at making us both feel comfortable with our affection and providing directions that the photos turned out as well as they did. I am so happy with the turnaround time and the management of my expectations.
