I’ve only recently started incorporating more crop tops into my wardrobe despite their continued presence for the past seasons. For someone that spends Monday to Friday in an office, I needed to figure out a way I could try to make them work for in and out of office hours. With that, I wanted to share how to wear crop tops for different occasions.
Firstly, I thought about how there could be no skin exposure between the top and my work pants or skirt, if I could style it with a blazer and still look professional. I was able to achieve a work-appropriate outfit as seen here. The trick is to find the right high-waisted bottoms that will work with the crop top.
Secondly, I wanted to feel feminine with minimal midsection exposure if I wore it casually. I paired it with this lovely wrap skirt; it has an adjustable tie which I love for after dinner.
Lastly, although I won’t be able to wear all of my crop tops to work, they are starting to grow on me. With many ways to wear I foresee more of this modern essential making its way into my closet. It also encourages me to get on my bike more, especially if I want to bare more midriff. I hope this gave you some inspiration on how to wear crop tops.
