It’s been seven months since I’ve given birth and looking back, it’s been a whirlwind! As a new mom, I spend a lot of time researching baby items that I believe are essential. One is a baby monitor! The Miku Pro baby monitor is a wifi monitor that tracks your baby’s sleep and breathing patterns. After using it for a couple of months, here are my thoughts.
Please note: we received a free Miku from the manufacturer for review. We don’t guarantee positive reviews in exchange for complimentary products and always disclose free products.
I obsessed over my baby’s breathing. After putting him down, I would hover to ensure he was still taking breaths, which is why I’m so thankful for the Miku smart baby monitor! The wifi monitor tracks your baby’s sleeping and breathing patterns. After we started sleep training, I could see how he was doing throughout the night from the app on my phone.
In the early days of sleep training, I would force myself to wait 5-10 minutes when I heard my baby cry. I would open the app on my phone and eventually see him soothe himself. There’s a function that shows movement, and it’s so handy to know when the baby is asleep vs. moving!
One of the items I genuinely appreciate about the Miku is the analytics. Within the app, you can look back at how your baby slept the previous night; it gives you a clear understanding of how much sleep they are getting and how often they are up. As a first-time parent, I’ve made peace with the fact that I don’t have control over many things. However, while babys’ sleep isn’t something I can control, having the data to show how much rest they are getting helps me set up for the next day so it can be better than before. To me that is worth the investment.
Final thoughts, it gives me peace of mind when I see that baby is breathing, and I feel comfortable waiting out some of the crying periods because I can see when he falls back asleep. Setting up the Miku app on my phone and other devices is simple. I sometimes open the app on my iPhone when I work out using my iPad or vice versa. I love that I can watch him anywhere. If you are shopping for a baby monitor, I hope this review helps you out!
