It’s been a bit over a year since I posted my first blog post. I am proud of myself for keeping this blog up to date, for the most part anyways. With a year gone by, I thought it would have fun to have some Q&A for you to get to know me better!
Why did you start blogging?
Many reasons. Before I started my salary job, the idea of traveling was too luxurious concerning time and expenses. To be honest, the idea of leaving what was comfortable scared me. Once I had my first taste of the world, I realized that it’s beautiful, and I want to share what I have seen and hope what I have experienced can help others. When I am not sharing my travels, I like to share my bits about my active lifestyle and outfits.
Who takes your photos?
My super patient boyfriend, Jeff, takes the majority of my photos. Recently he tore his Achilles and has been in a cast. I attempted to use my tripod several times however the images are not what I would call quality. All credits for photos are at the bottom of the blog post.
In the future where do you hope your blog will take you?
I hope to keep sharing my experiences, and hopefully, people will find it helpful. The dream is to be a leader in travel and fashion, where this space will be a go-to for itineraries and outfit inspiration.
When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?
When I am not working, I love being on my bike. It’s how I challenge myself physically and mentally, plus it keeps me in shape. I am making a conscious effort this year to be more present, really enjoying the moment with my friends and family.
What is still your biggest challenge?
Growing up I had a speech impediment. In elementary we would have reading sessions where you would read out loud a passage from the book you are reading in front of the class, and I would stutter over every other word. It was horrible. Even now, it comes out every so often when I share stories. Trying to control my stuttering is still my biggest challenge. However, the progress has been fantastic since it started.
For what are you most grateful today?
I am grateful for a healthy and able body. Supporting my boyfriend through his recovery has opened my eyes to how easy it can be to take your mobile body for granted.
