I enjoy dressing up for work. A blouse makes me feel feminine and polished, a blazer gives an effortlessly sophisticated look, and there are days that I want not to think about appearances and wear a t-shirt to work.
However, I work in an office and do have to care about appearances to an extent, and if I’m going to wear a t-shirt, it needs to be dressed up, or look dressed up. With that, I wanted to share how I have achieved the said look!
How to Dress Up a T-Shirt
There are many ways to do it; you can dress up a t-shirt with a blazer, statement necklace or chic scarf, my favourite in the Summer, and the right bottoms.
I have a cardigan that lives on the back of my chair at work, of course, I do occasionally take it home for a wash, this Fall I have been into high-waisted trousers and found that wearing this pant makes everything look great! Any trouser or dress pant will do, think about the overlook you are trying to achieve.
You may recognize this jacket because I have it in gray as you may have seen in a previous post. So I figured I would get it in camel because I do, wear it all the time.
Wear the right shoes; if you wear sneakers, it isn’t elevated or sophisticated as a heel is. As Coco Chanel says, keep your head, heels, and standards high!
Here is my outfit that I wore to work one day, intentionally wearing a t-shirt.
Wearing: The Group T-Shirt, Babaton Pant, Stedman Coat
