How to Style Paper Bag Waist Pants

I’ve been a fan of paper bag waist pants before I knew there was a name for them! The ruching and tie at the waist add a flattering silhouette to any body shape. My office attire is more smart dressing than strictly business attire, so the paper bag waist makes me like I’m having fun with my outfit at work. With that, I wanted to share how I style paper bag waist pants!

How to Style Paper Bag Waist Pants for the Office

Start with finding the right top to pair. I have chosen a crop top. Gasp! As long as there is no skin exposure and the overall look work appropriate, I am not infringing on any dress code! This past year I have been pushing my comfort zone in regards to style. Generally, I am quite conservative, the idea of wearing crop tops was foreign to me for a while. Now, after finding ways to make it work appropriate, it’s been a lot of fun! To show off the ruching I would wear a fitted turtleneck, conservative remember, or any fitted top that you can tuck in.

Finally, have the right footwear. I wore this outfit for work so making sure the whole look comes together is critical. Wearing simple heels does the job nicely.
