Queen Elizabeth is my favourite park. It seems like everyone has the same idea because it is a prime location for photos for any occasion. During the springtime in Vancouver, cherry blossom trees blanket the park, however, all year round it is beautiful. Recently I had some photos taken for fun with my significant other and wanted to share where to take pictures in Queen Elizabeth Park.
The quick answer is everywhere in the park is the best spot when there are no people around. A walkway becomes your runway, and a railing is workable with curtains of leaves. As the second most visited park in Vancouver, it can be challenging, but if you time your day right, it can be done!
I recommend making a point to get a photo at the stairs. This shot requires patience as you can imagine, other people are trying to enjoy the park, but its worth the wait. Conveniently located beside the stairs is an area of bamboo trees. It doesn’t stand out beside the stairs, however, on its own, it makes a great backdrop. The waterfall adds to the parks aesthetic and the textures surrounding it gives a relaxed vibe.
